Kevin Annett

Kevin Annett is a former clergyman of the United Church of Canada who was fired without cause and expelled from the ministry without due process between 1995 and 1997 after exposing the murder of children at that church’s Alberni Indian residential school. He went on to convene the first Tribunal into Genocide in Canada in conjunction with the United Nations NGO IHRAAM in June 1998. Kevin authored the first definitive account of crimes by Church and State and compelled Canada’s official “apology” for Indian residential schools in June 2008. Kevin is a co-founder of the International Tribunal of Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) that helped force the resignation of Pope Benedict in 2013, and a co-convener of the Republic of Kanata. He is an adopted member of the Anishinaabe Ojibwe indigenous nation, whose Crane Clan gave him the name Eagle Strong Voice in 2007.
