When he’s not finding fiction for Tikkun, Josh Bernstein is a writer and an assistant professor in the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi. His first novel, Rachel’s Tomb, won the AWP Award Series, Hackney, and Knut House Prizes, and his story collection, Stick-Light, is forthcoming from Eyewear Editions, where it was shortlisted for the Beverly Prize. His stories and essays have appeared in Boston Review, Kenyon Review Online, Tampa Review, and other journals, and have won honors from The Atlantic, Crab Orchard Review, and Redivider.
