Wendy Elisheva Somerson earned her PhD in English from the University of Washington. After escaping academia, she helped found the Seattle chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace. Her work has appeared in Bitch and other publications. In addition to writing, she makes art and trouble in the Pacific Northwest.
