While government interventions are needed, and a recent step by Dept. of Labor to set protocols for "guest workers" is welcome, CIW is slowly, daily, with good spirit and good will, building a world of awareness around the workers and the "agribusiness" that has denied their security and humanity forever -- even as it has blinded us to our own complicity as consumers never questioning our right to "cheap food" rather than "Fair Food". As the Museum moves (and builds toward a "Freedom March" from Tampa to Lakeland, headquarters of the huge Publix supermarket chain, April 16-18), the consciousness changes, contact by contact, conversation by conversation.
