Satan Responds to Pat Robertson on Haiti

Yesterday in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Satan resonded to Pat Robertson’s recent attack. See for yourself why he thought Robertson was making him look bad:
Dear Pat Robertson,
I know that you know that all press is good press, so I appreciate the shout-out. And you make God look like a big mean bully who kicks people when they are down, so I’m all over that action. But when you say that Haiti has made a pact with me, it is totally humiliating. I may be evil incarnate, but I’m no welcher. The way you put it, making a deal with me leaves folks desperate and impoverished. Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with people, they first get something here on earth — glamour, beauty, talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. Those Haitians have nothing, and I mean nothing. And that was before the earthquake. Haven’t you seen “Crossroads”? Or “Damn Yankees”? If I had a thing going with Haiti, there’d be lots of banks, skyscrapers, SUVs, exclusive night clubs, Botox — that kind of thing. An 80 percent poverty rate is so not my style. Nothing against it — I’m just saying: Not how I roll. You’re doing great work, Pat, and I don’t want to clip your wings — just, come on, you’re making me look bad. And not the good kind of bad. Keep blaming God. That’s working. But leave me out of it, please. Or we may need to renegotiate your own contract.
Best, Satan

Another letter writer believed it might be another God who was offended by the Haitians:
In a small paragraph on page A10 of the Jan. 14 Star Tribune is a report about the remarks made by evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson. Obviously, Robertson believes in creation, not evolution, or he would understand that earthquakes predate the human concept of a curse. Also, Poseidon was considered in mythology to be the god of earthquakes and the sea; therefore, it stands to reason that perhaps he, too, was offended? I hope that Robertson will make a public apology to the people of Haiti for making such a ridiculous statement.

LOL– too true!
As i laugh i cry
Great pix by the way
You onlu have to mention two names and you know why I am not a Nazi or Republican – Robertson and Limbaugh.
I would remind his fans that Satan is the ‘Father of Lies”. What is he lying about herein? I leave it to you to decide.
I love this too much!!!
Aminah, I think we need laughter amid our tears. My aunt has been dying the last month, and my daughter Linnea has been visiting during the same time. The best thing Linnea did for me was find funny movies to watch in the evening.
Aminah –
If think it’s often important to laugh when you’re crying — sometimes to remember the absurdity of life (in the larger sense), sometimes to offset the despair, sometimes to just remember that life is good despite it all. This month my Aunt Louise has been dying (she was a second mother to me in my youth), and my daughter Linnea has been visiting during the same period. One of the days that I was grieving a lot, Linnea got a funny movie and we laughed and laughed. It was just what I needed.
And there is Danny Glover, the actor, who said that the earthquake was the earth getting its vengeance because there was no environmental pact made at Copenhagen. No, really, he actually did say that and was being serious. Will he face the ridicule that Pat Robertson has garnered? Not a chance, since Goddess Gaia is the true deity of the Enviro-Left. See, “Environmentalist religion explained.”
Robertson is irrelevant,
Donald Sensing,
Your link has nothing whatever to do with Danny Glover. Try again. Your bias is showing – I don’t know much about Danny Glover, but what he said (or didn’t say – I’ve not found a transcript of his entire comment to Laura) is not in the same league as what Mr. Robertson said. Robertson is blaming the victims (incorrectly – read up on your history of Haiti) while Glover is simply rambling incoherently. Why was Haiti required to pay France after its revolution and the United States was not? Simple question and I doubt very much that you will be able to answer it.
Have you no shame, sir?
I read Mr. Sensing’s essay with interest but was not at all surprised to see that it all comes down to equating enviro thought with socialism. Isn’t that a dead horse YET? A little too predictable, I’d say, and without relative merit in the context of his thesis. In other words, it makes you into just another nut-job with a theory and a computer there buddy.
Yea. I saw Pat Robertson on T.V. when somebody asked whether it was possible to be married in Heaven. Pat Robertson said that marriage was not possible because people can’t have sex in heaven.
Does Pat Robertson know the difference between sex and love? Does Pat Robertson know that there is more to marriage than “making babies”?
Somebody pray for Pat Robertsons’ soul, in the name of God Almighty! God created Pat Robertson to teach people the meaning of “Compassion” – by showing us what isn’t compassion!
