Stop Joe! Stop Lieberman From Undermining Health Care

From the Progressive Change Campaign Committee today:
You may have heard the news. Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) is threatening to help Republicans block a vote on health care reform if the bill includes a public health insurance option.
But when reporters asked Lieberman if he’d be willing to lose his powerful committee chairmanship as a consequence, he said: “Oh, God no.”
What’s our answer? Hell yeah!
You and 90,000 others signed our petition to Democratic senators asking them to strip leadership titles from Lieberman (or others) if they block reform. Can you help us get to 100,000?
Oh yeah, I remember signing that! Will you join me and sign the petition here? Here’s Rachel on the topic:

Whatever happened to “acting on the behalf” of the American People? What price we pay for fossilized ideaologies!
Hey, Sen. JL–You can’t responsibly waffle on everything, so wake up now.
Thank you, Dave, for this and so much else that you and Rabbi Lerner and others at Tikkun do every day. I posted this one on my Facebook and meetup page. Our Senator Mark Begich Begich in Alaska is no Lieberman even though he has been slow to support a Medicare public option, He has always said he preferred a buy-in for everybody to the same Federal Employee insurance system that he has. He is concerned that Medicare reimbursement rates to doctors are too low in many states like Alaska so people on Medicare have a hard time finding a good doctor. Our Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski has also said she would support a buy-in to the Federal employee system and also has the same concern about a Medicare option because of too low reimbursement rates in some states including Alaska.
Lieberman and Bayh are the perfect hypocrites. We can also add Obama to the list. He favors the TRIGGER and opposes the PUBLIC OPTION. Trigger will only kick in when times are good for the economy. I see more economic hardships in fascist-Nazi America. When times are bad, there is a need for good health care. We are only cannon fodder.
Please stop Joe Lieberman. He is paid for by the health insurance companies and is a horror. How dare he hold American’s for health care for all, including the public option, hostage. We must stop him at all costs. He represents the most bought senators, and must be stopped for the good of the American people.
