Why the Left Lost Single-Payer Health Care Reform
Congressional and Obama Administration spinelessness and surplus powerlessness allowed the medical profiteers to marginalize "single payer." A campaign that emphasized the ethical spiritual dimension of caring, and acknowledged what is legitimate in people's distaste of unresponsive government bureaucracies, and that used a more empathic title for universal caring than "single payer" might be more successful when we seek to reform whatever comes out of this year's flawed debate.
